Western Washington University Associate Professor of Economics and Washington State Senator Sharon Shewmake spearheaded the newly-adopted SR 8696 which recognizes "Washington's interconnected relationship with Canada." Shewmake teaches Economics courses as part of the BA in Energy Policy and Management.
