Establishing lasting clean energy policies and programs requires buy-in from diverse stakeholders, and finding common ground begins with understanding motivations. Over the course of her 15+ year career in the public sector, Juliana Williams has worked with stakeholders to address clean energy deployment challenges. Ms. Williams will share lessons learned on aligning stakeholder interests from her time in utilities regulation, clean energy lending, and supporting low-income weatherization. She currently works at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland, a Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University and is a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers.

Speaker Bio

Juliana Williams is the Weatherization Team Lead for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado. Her work focuses on improving policy design and program implementation for low-income and local clean energy programs. Prior to joining NREL, Juliana worked for the State of Washington in energy finance and utilities regulation. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland, a Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University, and a Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers. Outside of work, Juliana climbs mountains and plays ultimate frisbee.
