Class of 2017: Cole Rogers

Through my curriculum in the Energy concentration of EE, I was introduced to many professors and students with connections in the Institute for Energy Studies.  These relationships, as well as my Energy-focused classes, granted me the opportunity to work with a group of people who are clearly passionate about the world’s energy future.  This passion, combined with a rigorous understanding of the technical, economic, and political obstacles facing sustainable energy solutions, allow those involved with the Institute to provide holistic education, and create impactful programs both on campus and abroad. 

My experience with the students is that they have been committed and engaged, and confident about their abilities to make meaningful changes once they graduate.  The professors and faculty have both the depth and breadth of experience to provide students with the tools they require to tackle the energy problems of today and the future.  It has been a pleasure to work with the Institute, and I am excited to apply what I’ve learned in the Engineering field when I graduate.
